Traveling the same rural stretch of two-lane byway for miles and miles numerous times each week, I frequently miss the beauty. My cameras help me remember what I saw with open eyes.

During a casual summer weekend drive, I saw the markings of an approaching election campaign scaring the beauty of the pristine rural landscape. Even in all of her glory passing by with a 50 MPH motion blur, the ugliness is far too difficult for Mother Nature to hide.

Growing just outside my studio window are two sunflowers standing nearly ten feet tall. Orphaned from a few seeds I'd tossed into the soil several years ago, they peek through my window and smile on me and the pups.
