Minutes move forward with the passing of a second hand, most becoming faded and eventually lost. Moments however are something totally different. They encourage, inspire, motivate, engage, teach, and balance us.
Moments, not minutes, are the greatest way of telling time.
Preparation. I believe in it. It readies me and enables a better moment, a positive result, and an assurance of self. It also provides the greatest opportunity for independence.
I believe in preparation just like I believe in cowboys. Both are honest and real. They're like one in the same. I like believing.
Today was an absolutely beautiful day for the first mark of October. I spent it outdoors, enjoying the weather and the events at the State Fair of Virginia.
I saw a red tomato wearing a blue ribbon, fried dill pickles, Secretariat's great grandson, fried Twinkies, hatching chicks, fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a 1019 lb. pumpkin, fried cheese cake, fried Kool-Aid, fried macaroni and cheese, and mess of real life genuine cowboys doing what they do best, ...being real life and genuine.
It was fabulous way to spend day one of month ten.
